Sarah on fieldwork in the opencasts of southern Illinois.

My palaeontological and geological career spans over ten years. My current research analyses large bodies of historical data from museum collections, and examines these first-hand to assess quality of data and taxonomy, feeding into systematics, palaeoecology, biostratigraphy and palaeobiogeography. Through this work, I have studied many international museum collections, and have undertaken fieldwork at key sites all over the world.

Alongside this I have volunteered in several museums with a view to preserving and enabling wider access to, and use of, collections, for researchers and the public alike.
